Multiple Portfolio Managers, Collections - Contract
Multiple Portfolio Managers are required by The Macquarie Leasing Collections team in Australia. As part of the Collections team, The managers will be responsible for effective and timely auctioning of delinquent accounts across a variety of financial products such as leases, CHP, consumer loans and more.
Corporate and Asset Finance Group provides innovative and traditional capital, finance and related services to clients operating in selected international markets. With offices in Australia, New Zealand, Asia, North America and Europe, Corporate and Asset Finance specialises in:
- leasing and asset finance
- tailored debt and finance solutions
- asset re-marketing, sourcing and trading.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- taking inbound calls and making outbound collections calls
- initiating the most cost effective course of action for resolving delinquent accounts
- displaying problem solving skills and negotiating payment arrangements to clear arrears adhering to policy guidelines
- actively monitoring progress of outstanding accounts under your control
- initiating enforcement action including repossession
- liaising with external parties including mercantile agents, solicitors, financial counselors, etc.
- maintaining accurate records of account transactions.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will be asked for previous collections experience, preferably in a secured collections environment. You will prove ability to manage an individual portfolio where your responsibilities will include end to end management of accounts in excess of 30 days in arrears.
You will also be able to demonstrate the following:
- general knowledge of financial products, leasing knowledge is desirable
- strong commercial acumen and the ability to resolve problems logically, efficiently and cost effectively
- strong client service orientation and relationship building skills
- proven track record of making cost effective decisions that are solutions based for the business and our clients
- ability to build relationships with the various internal and external stakeholders that you will have exposure to
- intermediate skills in Microsoft Word and Excel
- ability to work effectively and meet deadlines with minimal supervision, and work within an environment where KPI's and SLA's are to be met
- demonstrated knowledge of relevant legislation such as NCCP, Debt Collections Guidelines and Privacy Act.
