Education:

• B.Sc. in Civil Engineering.
• M.Sc. Degree in Project/Construction Management or PMP Certificate is advantageous.

Required Competencies for Construction Manager

• Excellent skills in writing technical reports in English.
• Advanced skills in MS Office.
• Ability to lead and provide guidance and direction to subordinates, including setting performance standards and monitoring performance.
• Knowledge of engineering contractual matters, Value Engineering and FIDIC.
• Minimum of 12 years experience in Project Management out of overall work experience of 20 years.

Duties For Construction Manager

• Ensure all technical aspects of the project are strictly complied with and in conformity with Conditions of Contract, Particular Specifications, General Specifications, Contract Drawings and BOQ.
• Monitor project budgets and schedules and oversee contractor’s performance to ensure on time, quality and on budget project execution.
• Attend regular progress meetings with Client and held co-ordination meetings with contractors to discuss vital issues and problems related to the project in order to study, analyze and recommend effective solutions.
• Coordinate with the design team on all aspects of the design.
• Ensure that the health and safety requirements are provided and that they comply with the authorities' regulations.
• Prepare periodic reports for clients and management including status of budgets, variance/change claims, schedules, disputes, up-coming activities, and safety records.
